Since our beginnings, at Germán Morales Hoteles we have had a clear mission: to be a second home for everyone who is part of our community—team members, guests, clients, and partners. For more than 15 years, we have worked with conviction to reduce our environmental impact and generate a positive contribution to our surroundings. Today, we reaffirm this commitment through a broader vision of sustainability that also recognizes the value of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). This is how our DEI Committee was created—an initiative designed to structure concrete actions and build environments where everyone feels welcomed, represented, and safe, especially those who have historically been excluded or made invisible. Although diversity has always been part of our brands’ DNA, we recognized the need to deepen our knowledge and translate these values into tangible, consistent, and respectful experiences across all our hotels. Progress with purpose We are proud of the steps we have taken:
- 50% of our leadership positions are held by women.
- We have a diverse and inclusive workforce.
- We have eliminated the gender pay gap within our organization.
However, we understand that these achievements are not the final goal, but rather a foundation to continue advancing toward a more conscious, structured, and sustainable commitment. For this reason, we adopted a Diversity, Inclusion, and Zero Tolerance for Discrimination Policy, which guides our decisions and ensures high standards of respect, empathy, and equity across all our operations. Additionally, we have strengthened strategic alliances with organizations such as the Chamber of Diversity and WWF Colombia, aligning our efforts with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to maximize our social, environmental, and economic impact. Strategies with impact Neurodiverse population:
- Implementation of web check-in to reduce waiting times.
- Prioritization in room allocation based on preferences (quiet spaces with low sensory stimulation).
- Photographic catalog to help guests become familiar with hotel spaces in advance.
People with hearing, visual, and speech disabilities:
- Expansion of our communication and accessibility offerings.
- Inclusive signage and technological adaptations currently in progress.
LGBTIQ+ community:
- Friendly Biz certification process, which we expect to complete before the end of 2025, as a tangible commitment to the sexually diverse community.
- Ongoing training in respect, inclusive language, and bias-free service.
At Germán Morales Hoteles, we believe that hospitality begins with respect for human dignity. We are building a culture where everyone can be present, be themselves, and feel valued—because only then is it possible to offer a truly transformative experience.
